Hello there.

We are a collective of engineers, artists and scientists that builds whimsically elegant products, tools, programs, organisms and textiles.

This elegance is instantiated through a reductionist design philosophy. Examples of this include: removing unnecessary components from a design by moving as much function away from mechanism and instead towards geometries, and iteratively going back to the drawing board to rethink designs from the ground up instead of bolting on complexity with new components and devices.

Consultancy

We build and design bespoke products, tools and art for businesses, startups and individuals using an imaginative, systems-thinking approach.

This helps boost IP defensibility & market competitiveness, increases your business' productivity and brings greater delight to your customers.

To instantiate this approach, we synthesise ideas from a wide set of domains including: mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, inorganic chemistry, synthetic biology, smart materials, sewing, OOP programming, advanced geometry,  embedded programming, material science, industrial engineering, color theory, thermochromics, fashion design, 3D printing and leather working.

We're based in Bangkok to take advantage of the plentiful and diverse electronics, textile, mechanical and woodwork markets here. This means we can acquire components - including otherwise more time-consuming stuff like PCBs - within a day if not hours. As a result of this choice to based here, we typically deliver works in half the time of a conventional product design consultancy.

Reiss was a pleasure to work with. It’s rare to find an entrepreneurial-minded software developer who does project based work that not only executes well but also thinks ahead—aligning software decisions with business goals and logical efficiency. His problem-solving skills, forward-thinking approach, and attention to detail were key in delivering a high-quality product at a fair cost.

Nithit (Best) Chompatana • An architecture graduate turned experimental object designer, Best explores design through 3D printing, product development, in-house small-scale manufacturing & art.

He previously founded Blunder Studio, an object design laboratory that translated the concept of "curated absurdity" into experimental art pieces.

Additionally, Best co-founded Satsu Studio, an art and character design project that reinterprets the profound Buddhist philosophy of Mahayana compassion into expressions of pure cuteness.

Reiss Jones • Reiss is an inventor and entrepreneur. Beginning his career programming XNA video games at 13, he moved on to synthetic biology - ultimately leading to dropping out of Imperial College London and co-founding two startups that used genetically modified microbes to produce growth factors and omega-3s for the agriculture industry.

He is a recipient of the Thiel Fellowship, which he used to develop a automatic seaweed harvesting machine in the pursuit of produce carbon-negative crude oil. It was during this time that he studied inorganic chemistry and mechanical engineering.
